This insight brief is part of a broader FP Analytics research project on women’s health with support from the Gates Foundation. See the full report here.

Climate change is amplifying risks for mothers, newborns, and children, particularly in low- and middle-income countries where nearly all maternal and child deaths occur. Yet these climate-related health threats remain underrecognized, even as extreme weather events and other climate impacts drive preventable complications and loss of life. Scalable, climate-resilient health tools and investments can unlock major social, economic, and health gains for vulnerable communities. This Insight Brief from FP Analytics, produced with support from the Gates Foundation, explores the actions stakeholders can take to safeguard antenatal and postnatal health in a warming world.
